    Birds of Prey Demonstrations

    Grade 1 classes enjoyed some incredible Birds of Prey demonstrations last week! Students were captivated as they learned about these majestic creatures, up close and personal. Huge thanks to New York State Wildlife Rehabilitator Annie Mardiney for organizing such an enriching experience for our students.

    Students Visit Corey's Maple Sugar Shack

    A sweet adventure unfolded as Tina Bodo's Grade 1 class from Duzine Elementary visited Corey's Maple Sugar Shack recently. Students spent a beautiful day in nature learning the art of making maple syrup firsthand. It was an educational journey filled with delicious discoveries! A big thank you to Corey's Maple Sugar Shack for this enriching experience.

    Wellness Week

    Last week, students engaged in a variety of thoughtful activities in celebration of Wellness Week. From mindfulness to crafts, class readings and sign language lessons, it was inspiring to see our students, teachers, administrators, and staff come together to prioritize holistic well-being. Huge thanks to everyone who participated and helped make this a wonderful learning opportunity for our students!

    Kindergarten Students Track Wildlife at Mill Brook Preserve

    Melissa Manning’s Kindergarten students from Duzine Elementary tracked winter wildlife at Mill Brook Preserve recently! These student adventurers honed their observation skills, measuring animal tracks with keen eyes and popsicle sticks. Thank you to Julie Seyfert, Director of Education at Mill Brook Preserve, for providing this exciting hands-on learning experience for our students!

    Impressive Student Artwork

    Elayne Zinn and Patsy Kosinetz's Kindergarten class has transformed their hallway at Duzine Elementary School with beautiful artwork inspired by the courage and powerful words of Maya Angelou and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. These little artists are spreading peace, love, kindness, and an important message of unity.

    Indoor Recess is Toasty and Fun

    Recently, our little learners at Duzine Elementary spread warmth on a chilly day by bringing the fun indoors for recess, turning the cold weather into a cozy adventure. From board games to creative crafts, students embraced the chill with smiles and laughter.
